Kinship Working Agreement

Kinship Psychotherapy and Counselling

Welcome to Kinship. The following contract serves as an agreement between you and your therapist Robert Lewis, highlighting the structure of the therapy sessions. Please take a few minutes to read the contract and feel free to ask any questions.

Duration of sessions

  • The duration of each therapy session is 50 minutes. Sessions will begin and finish at the previously agreed time.

Payment

  • Payments are received by credit card through a link from Squarespace Scheduling and processed using Stripe

  • Two months’ notice will be given for any changes in fee.

  • Squarespace and Stripe will store your billing information; on Mondays, payment for outstanding balances will be charged to your stored credit/debit card.

Cancellations or change of appointment

  • When agreeing to start therapy, your appointment time will be held for you each week. This means that until you decide to finish therapy, this time will not be booked by anyone else unless you inform your therapist that you are unavailable that week.

  • If you cannot make a session, 1 week’s notice will be required. In a situation where less than a 1 weeks notice is given, every effort will be made to find an alternative appointment within that week, if this is not possible, the fee is still due.

Termination of therapy

  • When possible, 3 weeks’ notice will be given before you terminate therapy as this helps to bring about a healthy closure to the process.

Confidentiality

  • All your information is confidential except in emergencies or in circumstances relating to the Children First Act.

  • Robert meets with a supervisor but does not use your full name.

  • Kinship does not provide medical or legal reports.
