Kinship provides a safe, confidential space where difficulties can be explored, to help you move beyond coping to a place of peace.
We may feel lost, overwhelmed, or dissatisfied for a time before we decide to seek help. It takes courage to ask for support, and begin the process of change.
We believe that no two people are exactly alike, which means treatments are tailored to the individual through a Humanistic Integrative Approach. Our therapists use evidence-based methods and are fully accredited. We attend regular supervision in order to maintain the highest standard of care.
Individual Psychotherapy & Counselling
Personal Therapy explores any issues in your life that you wish to address.
Each person has their own unique way of engaging in this process. Our integrative approach allows for individuality. Working in a supportive, warm, caring, and non-judgmental environment can equip you to engage with your struggle as you discover alternative approaches to moving forward.
Sessions might be filled with laughter or tears; some will be supportive, while others might be frank and challenging. You’re encouraged to bring your whole self to our sessions, ask any questions, and be open to exploring uncomfortable places.
Areas of focus may include but are not limited to:
stress, anxiety, and depression
transitions and loss
chronic illness
trauma
abuse
sexuality
relationship challenges
loneliness
finding meaning
Group Therapy
Interpersonal process groups offer a supportive space where individuals can address common challenges such as feelings of isolation, difficulty building trust, and struggles with communication. By engaging with other members and receiving constructive feedback, participants gain valuable insights into their relational patterns, fostering personal growth and healthier connections.
These groups are especially helpful for those looking to improve their relationships, both personally and professionally. In a confidential, non-judgmental setting, members often find comfort in knowing they’re not alone in their struggles. While the work can be deep, there’s often plenty of laughter as members bond and celebrate progress.
Whether navigating conflict, feelings of inadequacy, or a desire for stronger emotional intimacy, interpersonal process groups offer a unique opportunity to boost self-awareness and foster lasting change. Over time, this experience helps create more authentic and fulfilling connections with others
Nature Therapy
Over the last decade, there has been an increased therapy movement into natural spaces, known as Nature Therapy or Ecotherapy. Alongside this, there has been a recognition in the medical field of the benefits of being outdoors.
Have you ever gone for a walk to ‘clear your head’? Nature therapy incorporates this cathartic response to nature and utilizes it within the therapy process.
Agreements are put in place with clients to ensure the privacy and safety needed to protect the therapeutic process while outdoors.
